Kochi Metro has started the services in June 2017 and current ridership as per the November 2017 is about 45000 commuters. The kochi metro services run on only one route in both directions such as Aluva to Maharajas College and Maharajas college to Aluva. Still the construction is going on to further increase the operations length. When the metro services are operational the metro trains use to run with 4 types of frequencies where as now it become 5 types frequencies. The kochi metro timings and frequencies are listed in the below table which is provided by Kochi metro rail limited.

| Kochi Metro Timings
The first metro train will start at 6:00 a.m from Aluva to Maharajas and Maharajas to Aluva on weekdays (Monday to Saturday) where as on Sunday the kochi metro services will start at 8:00 a.m in the morning from Aluva to Maharajas and Maharajas to Aluva with a frequency of 17 minutes 30 seconds. Going ahead the frequency of train will increase and from 19:00 p.m to 22:00 p.m it will become 20 minutes on weekdays.
